Together, Inc.
Together, Inc of Metropolitan Omaha, was founded in 1975 as a combined effort of several Omaha churches in response to a tornado that devastated large parts of the city. From that beginning, the group soon learned that there was an on-going need for basic necessities and the free services were born. Today the programs of Together, Inc. serve a large number of the “working poor” as well as others who need assistance.
Programs include a Food Bank & Pantry which distributes food, hygiene and baby items, a Together Store & Closet that offers free clothing and household items to families and individuals in need of them, a Rent/Mortgage Assistance Program, a Bus Voucher Program, a Medical Perscription Assistance Program, and a program that assists individuals in applying for a State Identification.
PCM supports Together, Inc. in several ways. We have large bins available to the congregation at all times to collect good quality usable household items and clothing for their Store. Monies from our Hunger Ministry program have been donated to their Food Bank. Round Town Mission trips have brought volunteers to the site to assist with various projects.
