PCM supports the mission work of the Presbyterian Church USA at all levels through a General Mission pledge drawn from our general budget. Approximately 40% of these funds are used for the mission work of the General Assembly. Approximately 20% goes to the mission work of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, which covers most of 6 states in the Upper Midwest. The remaining amount is used for the mission work of the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley, which is composed of 53 Presbyterian Congregations and one Sudanese Fellowship in the area of Greater Omaha and Southwestern Iowa.

We also support the mission work of our denomination through four special offerings.

The One Great Hour of Sharing offering is taken during the period of Lent, and is used to support (in approximately equal shares) the Presbyterian Hunger Program, which works with congregations and partners around the globe to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, which witnesses to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events, and the Self-Development of People program, which works to empower economically poor, oppressed and disadvantaged people who are seeking to change the structures that perpetuate poverty, oppression and injustice.

The Pentecost Offering is taken on Pentecost and provides leadership development opportunities for Presbyterian youth and young adults and supports children-at-risk programs at national, regional, and local levels.

The Peacemaking Offering is taken on World Communion Sunday and supports peacemaking and peace education efforts at national, regional, and local levels.

The Christmas Joy Offering is taken the Sunday before Christmas. Half is used for assistance programs that provide support to retired and active church workers and their spouses and families. The other half supports Presbyterian-related racial ethnic education.

Regular Mission Witness speakers in Sunday worship throughout the year explain and promote the mission work of the Presbyterian Church USA at all levels.
